There is nothing illegal per se for a representative of the company that you made a complaint against with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to contact your employer seeking that your employer ask you to drop the complaint. However, from a business perspective such conduct and contact with your employer shows poor judgment by the representative of the company that you made a complaint against.
