I am filling out a background check. I had a DUI when I was 23 and now I am 41. Do I say yes to have you ever been convicted?

In the state of California, if you have had a crime expunged then you can legally answer "no" to the question on an employment application. Be careful of applications for government jobs. There you may have to answer and explain. Good luck.
