If I’m filing for naturalization and the immigration officer wants a copy of me and my wife’s tax returns, is this normal?
We are both filing as head of the family because I claim for my parents and she for her son (not my son). Will this affect my application?

If this is appropriate to do, it should not affect anything. The USCIS is looking to make sure THAT you file taxes as you are required to do, not so much the specifics of deductions. However, if you are concerned about the taxes, you should have them reviewed by a tax professional first.
