How can i ge a copy of my mother’s Will if I am a beneficary?

I am a beneficiary of mother’s estate. My brother has not given me copy of the Will. Instead, he just handed me an envelope of cash at the funeral; he is also the executor. I do not think I should accept it without seeing the Will or list of her assets. What are my rights regarding my brother’s ignoring my request?

Has the WIll been offered for probate?  Because if it was you should have gotten a copy and notice.  If the Will has been filed you can get a copy from the Probate Court in the county in which you Mother resided at the time of her death.  It is a public record.  And you are entitled to an acounting as well.  I would seek legal help here since it is unclear what exactly is going on and that will govern what you do next.  Good luck.
