If I’m 3 days from the end of my 3 year federal probation and no one has contacted me about my release, on the last day can I legally just go on my way?
I called but got no reponse. I never had any violations during my term.

What you should do at this point is to try and calll one more time. If you still get no response, then I would send a letter to your PO (certified mail return receipt requested and keep of the letter). In it exlain that you probation is ending and unless you hear back from them to the contrary, you will assume that there is thing more for you to do regarding the matter.
