If I am 17 years old and was the cause of an auto accident, do I need a lawyer?

I hit a parked car while I was going 30 mph in a 25 mph residential zone. Should I plead guilty in court? Will I get jail time? What should I say?

Ok I am assuming - and hoping - that you (or whom ever's car you were driving) are insured. So you need to report the accident as soon as possible to your insurance company.  That will take care of the damage to the car.  Now, why are you indicating that you need to plead guilty to something?  Were you charged with something?  If you were please do not go to court with out an attorney.  Please speak with your parents or an adult you trust to confide in asap. This should not be a life changing event.
