hurt on job/company says will pay w/o workmans comp
My finger was cut to the bone when the bandsaw blade broke and went ouside the guard. was taken to hosp. but company said not to go workers comp. they paid 500 down and said would pay when I bring bills in. Now the want a brief discription from me as to what happened. What should I say or do?

You should make a Workers' Comp claim immediately to protect your rights and collect the appropriate compensation. Do not go along with your employer. They are just trying to keep you from making a claim, and possibly from suing them. You might want to talk to a Workers' Comp attorney since they might be setting up an adversarial situation here. You can give them a brief description, but you might want to talk to the attorney first. In addition, you may be able to sue your employer for negligence. You need to speak to a personal injury attorney in Arizona regarding your options here. There is a two year statute of limitations on personal injury cases, so be sure to do this quickly.
