How much is an impairment percentage worth from workers comp?
I just received a 2% whole body impairment. What is this worth? The claim is in KY and I made $90,000 last year. Can I ask for lost wages also? I was on restricted duty for a while and lost a lot of wages because of being restricted. Is there an official web site that has these answers in plain English? Should I speak with a personal injury attorney? In Switzerland County, IN.

It is really difficult to try and figure out what happened here by your question, given that you are indicating that there is a workers comp claim as well as a possible personal injury claim going on here. So I would have to say that it may be a very good idea for you to speak with an attorney in your area as to what your options are in the matter. Were you being compensated for lost wages through workers comp? You realize I am sure that workers comp is a bar to recovery against an emplyer for an injury on the job. That means that you can not sue your employer. But if you explain in detail what happened to an attorney maybe there is another party that could be held responsible for your injury and impairment.
