How long does an executor of an estate have to sell and distribute the money after someone dies?
My cousin is in charge of my grandfather’s Will my grandfather died 11 months ago. The Will states everything is to be sold and split yet she has failed to sell any of the property. Is there a certain amount of time she has to get the money distributed to us?

I am so sorry for your loss. It sounds here like the estate is pretty complicated andmay have a lot of assets that need to be dealt with. It may also have a lot of debt issues to deal with. This may appear to take a "long" time to the beneficiaries but it is really not that long. The estate probably filed returns after the 9 month mark and is now taking steps to pay creditors, taxes and put the property on the market. You have a right to inquire. Do so. Good luck.
