How long do I have to wait before I can get my 2 misdemeanor charges expunged and what is the general cost?
I was convicted of misdemeanor assault 4 and misdemeanor strangulation 4 years ago; I have been off probation for almost 1 1/2 years. I wanted to know if I qualify to have my record expunged and about the costs.

Each States guidelines are different, but typically you have to wait at least five years from the date of your sentence, and you are normally allowed only one criminal conviction to be expunged, in this case you have two. Speak with a criminal defense attorney in your area to determine your exact eligibility based on your States expungement guidelines.
