How long can I stay in a house that will be put up for sale as part of an estate?

My father passed. I have lived with him for 18 years or more. His house is not paid for yet. I am the executor of his Will. If the house goes up for sale how long can I stay in the house and what bills will have to be paid?

I am so sorry for your loss. As the executor of the estate you can administer the estate and take care of the assets as you deem necessary.  Generally speaking, it is always better to keep property of a decedent occupied to avoid vandalism and for maintenance reasosn (say to avoid a leak, etc.).  I am sure that the buyers will want it delvered vacant at closing so judge accordingly.  If there are other siblings they may want rent, etc., so get some help.  Good luck.
