How do I take care of a warrant from 8 years agoif I live in a different state?
I took a plea bargain out of a crazy ordeal I shouldn’t have been arrested for with a first offenders sentence, as I had never been arrested. This all happened around 8 years ago. I found out last year that I had a warrant out, tried to contact the probation office and my old lawyer with no response. The officer said they wouldn’t come pick me up for some reason. I just got married, we have four kids together, and I’m in college. I don’t want to lose everything or drop out of college but I live far away now. I don’t know what to do and can’t afford a lawyer. What do I do? My kids need me.

Try to find an attorney in the old state so that he or she could appear on your behalf. Call around and someone might be interested to appear it for you.
