How doI go about relocating away from my child’s father while sharing custody?

I was just offered a much better paying job with far more rewarding benefits and in a better location than where I currently live. It’s 1 1/2 hours away from here and where I would prefer to be living. I have people who care about me there as opposed to here where the only reason I haven’t left is because my son’s father lives here. How do I go about relocating? I know when he finds out he’s going to try to get a court order that I have to stay.
