How doI get my criminal restitution turned in to civil restitution?

I’ve been on probation for 6 years have to pay $10,000 restitution. I paid half so far but my PO says it’s time for me to get off. It was only supposed to be 1 year probation.

Unfortunately for you, since the matter was a criminal matter where you were ordered to pay restitution, you cannot change the classification from criminal to civil.

Probation and restitution are two different matters. Getting off probation can be done even with unpaid restitution. I suggest that you consult with your probation officer as to what needs to be done to end your probationary status.
