You do not need to have the felonies expunged.  You just need to have your voting rights restored by the states in which they occurred.  In some states, such as here in Arizona, there is an application process for restoring those rights.  In some states, voting rights are automatically restored when one's sentence is completed.  You need to check with the states where your felonies occurred to find out what their process is.  Call the governors' offices of those two states or research it online.
