How can I get a neighbor’s landlord to stop trying to cause problems and spying on my yard?
I rent a condo and a chain-link fence separates my backyard from my neighbors. I have been renting this condo going on 3 years. I am a good tenet I keep up with the condo/yard as far as cleanliness and I pay my rent on time every month. We keep to ourselves and cause no problems. however my neighbors landlord seems to have a problem with us. I have two dogs. When I first moved in my condo my backyard was shared with the neighbor there was no fence separating the yard. At that time my dog used to roam and use the bathroom on his side. This then at that time caused my neighbors landlord to start coming to our condo and asking us to keep out dog from his side and keep the bathroom remains cleaned fro his side. which we have done maybe not immediate but it was done. mind you we have talked directly to the neighbors who rents next door and he apologized to us for his landlord acting the way he has been acting. long story short there is now a fence it went up not long after the first encounter. His landlord put the fence up. His landlord finds It a point to go to his tenants home even when he is not there just to view our back yard and I kid you not there can bit one pile of ‘bathroom remains’ from one of my dogs and this guy is taking pictures and sending it to my landlord. Myself, my fianc, and my landlord are tired of it, and in a way I feel my privacy is violated. I have to live wonder the next time this man that has nothing to do with the property I rent is going to pop back up or wonder if he sits somewhere and watches us. My fiance and I feel this could be race thing with our neighbors landlord because I am white and my fiance is black. I don’t know but there has to be something we can do, where he can not keep bothering us like this.

Unfortunately, it is legal for someone to view or even photograph something which he can see from a location where he may legally be--so, for example, from the yard of the property he owns, looking into the adjacent yard of the property you rent. And it is also legal to tell people about what you see, or to send photographs of what you saw. What you describe is malicious and unfair, but legal.
