If I was recently charged with a trespassing misdemeanor for returning to a sporting tailgate after being asked to leave, what are the repercussions of this charge?

This is my first criminal charge and I have a court date a month from now. How should I plead?

Under the MI law, some acts of trespassing are misdemeanors and others are felonies. Common trespass is a misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment for up to 30 days, a fine up to $250 or both. Since this is your first offense, you will most probably revieve a fine.
That having been said, the fact is that there are defenses to a charge such as this. If convicted, you will still ne left with a criminal record. At this point, you should consult with a criminal law attorney. They can best advise you further.
