Hernia surgery with possible nerve damage

Had double hernia surgery 1 year ago and am still in pain. I believe it was the
Dr’s fault. Am seriously considering getting another surgery to try and correct
and I will have to pay for it myself. Should I see a lawyer first or have the
surgery to find out what is wrong?

If your new doctor is recommending surgery or other treatment, you should have the surgery before contacting an attorney.  The doctor will write a medical report which the attorney will use to determine whether or not you have a malpractice case against the first doctor.
