What should be done if my mom and dad had a Will drawn up but since then my dad has passed and my sister won’t let me see a copy of the Will?

My mother is living in an assisted living apartment. My sister is the executor of the estate but will not let me see a copy of the Will. Do I have the right to a copy of it?

Under the laws of all states in this country a Will is required to be probated (filed with the court). A probated Will is a public document for anyone to view even myself. If you are named in the Will you have every right to see it. I suggest that you consult with a Wills and trust attorney in your locality to help you. One can be found on attoirneypages.com.
