If my mother lives in a land-leased community with many old trees, how can I find out if there is a law that requires the owner of the park to keep the trees trimmed so she is safe?

1) Any such law would be a municipal (town or city) law, unless it is an unincorporated area, in which case it would be a county law. Check with the municipal clerk's office or with the country building department.

2) If there is no such local or country ordinance (law), then the owner does not need to affirmatively trim the trees; however, if anyone is injured, or any property damaged, by trees which the owner knew, or reasonably (i.e. logically; based on perceivable evidence) should have known posed a hazard, the owner could be liable the injury or damage and could be sued.
