If your husband is so sick that he cannot handle his business affairs and you have a durable power of attorney allowing you to do so, I would start by paying all bills concerning him signing the checks as his attorney in fact with your own name per the designated power of attorney.

As to business operations and other contacts, you simply can conduct business as his attorney in fact. If any person questions your authority to do so, simply provide him or her with a copy of the power of attorney signed by your husband. I suggest that you keep a copy of the document close to you at all times for ease of access.
