What to do if I got a promotion at work and was promised a raise in 90 days but I never got it?

Excelled at my job not and now they are trying to eliminate my position.

IF you gave up something based on the promise of promotion and raise--such as turned down some other opportunity or job offer, or didn't move or relocate when you were planning to--and the employer knew or should have known you were doing this, you may have enforceable rights.

If you have an employment contract, and the contract guarantees your position and/or provides the terms under which you would be promoted, and you fulfilled your obligations, you can enforce that contract.

If you are suffering negative job action because of your race, sex, religion, disability, or age over 40, you may have a discrimination claim; or if you are being retaliated against for having raised a discrimination claim or some other protected claim (like overtime), you may have a legal cause of action.

Otherwise, your employer most likely can renege on its promise and even eliminate your position.
