If I owed back support, which I have been paying for some time, do I still have to pay it even though the children were adopted by my ex-wife’s new husband without my knowledge?
I know I must pay the rearrage owed but do I have to pay from the time he adopted them. I hope you understand what I am trying to say.

If you under a child support order where arrearages are to be paid by you, you must continue paying such absent a court order to the contrary. From what you have written, it makes no sense that your children were adopted by another person without you getting notice of such and signed off on such. I suggest that you consult with a family law attorney about the matter.
