Workers Comp Sub Topics

Subtopics left BACK TO EMPLOYMENT LABOR LAW

When an employee is a qualified worker within the workers’ compensation system, his or her employer is required to pay for worker’s comp insurance. If the worker is injured on the job, they will generally be entitled to collect benefits through workers comp. The worker’s comp system is designed to remove an employer’s possible negligence as a factor when deciding whether or not a worker may collect benefits, and employees collect worker’s compensation benefits in lieu of filing a lawsuit against the employer.
