What is the law regarding employment authorization?

I am applying for a employment authorization with the I-765 form. But I am currently working off the books. Do I disclose that I am working off the books on the I-765 worksheet or should I just put that I have no income since I am working off the books? How do about people go about situations like this?

It really depends on what your current status is and on what basis you are applying for employment authorization.  There are some instances where working without authorization does not jeopardize your future ability to obtain immigration benefits and other instances where it absolutely does.
