Good question. From what you have written I presume your question pertains to a residential lease that you have with your landlord where you are precluded from conducting commercial ventures out of the unit you are renting.
In order to determine whether or not online commercial ventures are prohibited under your lease, you need to carefully read the written agreement assuming you have one in that its terms and conditions control the obligations owed to you by the landlord and vice versa in the absence of conflicting state law.
