Does nepotism mean I can’t be empolyed at the same place another family member is employed?

I am about to lose my job because my employer says that since my sibling and I work for the same company it’s considered nepotism. However, my sibling did not hire me nor does she have power to do so. Even if she did happen to get a higher position it is still not nepotism?

While this may not actually constitute nepotism, you can still be let go. That is unless doing so will violate the terms of an employment contract or union agreement. Otherwise, in an "at will" work relationship, a company can set the conditions of employment much as it sees fit (absent some form of legally actionable discrimination). Therfore, you can be fired for any reason or no reason at all.
