Does health insurnace have a 30-day coverage period, if I stop making the payments.

I am currently on Cobra and plan to switch group coverage July 1st. If I don’t make the Cobra payment on June 1st, will I continue to be covered for the 30-day period?

No!  COBRA coverage is extremely date-sensitive.  To maintain your coverage, you must pay the premium, and you must pay it on time.  Letting your coverage lapse could be a very bad idea, especially if you have any pre-existing conditions.
