Does applicant have to be present at probate hearing when no one is contesting will?
My father lives in Florida and cannot travel to Texas, but represented by attorney. Probate hearing is just for judge signature, no one is contesting will.Thank you

This might not be a simple question, depending on whose will is being probated, what the will says, and who else is involved and their relationship to the deceased, whether or not they are contesting the will.
Your father has an attorney representing him. If the attorney says your father needs to be there, I would think there is a good reason for that. If the attorney hasn't said anything one way or the other, ask him, he will be able to give you an answer based on all the facts that your father can rely on.
