If the case has been filed, it should show up in the records.
If you know in which court the case was filed, you can go to the court and look in the court's computer for the name of either the plaintiff or defendant to find the case. Once you have the case number, you can give the case number to the court clerk and ask to see the file. The file cannot be removed from the court, but you can ask the court clerk to photocopy the file or just the pages you want.
