I am so sorry for your loss.  It sounds as if there are other issues going on here and you are trying to avoid creditors attaching the money.    Unfortuantely that would be outside the scope of an attornye's duty.  It would also probably be a breach of the executor's duty as well and put them in a precarious legal position.  I would speak with a credit counselor or attorney to help.  Good luck,
