Do I have to have my husband”s signature on filed divorce papers after 9 years of living apart?

Papers were mailed to him at last known address and he is not returning. No small children, only property was given up in divorce papers.

If the papers were not filed for an uncontested divorce where the two of you were consenting to the matter then all you did was have him served with your request to divorce him.  If he does not answer then you need to make a motion to enter a default and request that the court grant you a divorce by default judgement.  I would suggest you seek some legal help at this stage.  Good luck.
