Do I have a case if the actions of others have directly affected and jeopardized my long term health?

In 2009, my employer created a hostile work environment which subsequently led to a workplace violence event. This event has ended my career and any major plans for the future. Even though the actions of these people have come to light to some extent, I have suffered from high blood pressure, insomnia, anxiety, weight gain, and various side effects from the meds that I am now on. I have been admitted to the ER for high blood pressure (200/144), anxiety, and stress. I have all required documentation. I have been told by an attorney to contact a personal injury lawyer. In San Fransisco, CA.

Consultation with an attorney in a personal injury action are generally free so it may be a good idea for you to just sit and talk with someone as to whether or not you have a viable case here.  When a party brings an action based upon the creation of a hostile work environment, that generally means that some form ofharassment has taken place.  Sometimes it is sexual harassment sometimes it is harassment based upon other forms of discriminatory behaviour such as race.  You did not give many details here about the facts of your case but only gave the end results: your alleged damages.  Seek consultation from an attorney in your area.  Good luck.
