Dept of Conumer Affairs in CA subpoena my medical records. The doctor is under investigation for something, and there are asking for a release on my medical records

Adding to the question, they said they have subpoena’d my doctor for my records. If I don’t comply, I must show up to the investigator, answer questions, and bring all medical records….Any advise? Is this even a police officer? My doctor is the one listed as the case number.

It doesn't matter if they are a police officer. A suboena issued in the course of a legal matter or by a government agency during an investigation is enforceable, and you can be compelled to appear and testify, and/or provide documents. If you fail to do so, you can be punished for your noncompliance, such as by fines or, in extreme cases of willful noncompliance, even jail time.
