What to do if I currently am on F2 visa and wanted to appear for the driving test?

My visa is valid for the next 9 months. I submitted all the appropriate documents required to appear for test. So I went to the DPS but the officer was unable to find my immigration details. As part of the verification, he sent a request to US Immigration and Customs Enforcement to issue a lawful presence/legal presence letter to me. It’s been 2 weeks and I still did not get any letter from Immigration. How do I to proceed further on this?

You can make an appointment with the local USCIS office, bring with you all the supporting documentation you have and ask them to provide something in writing indicating that you are in the US in valid status.  It should be sufficient for the DMV.
