Can you sue a storage company if there was a current storm and flooding, and you property was probably damaged?
We had our items in a storage space because we were moving out of state. There was a hurricane and we were informed by family that it was very bad flooding. So we tried to contact the storage to check and see in our stuff was damaged or not. The storage people refused to answer our calls but they continue to take our money. Were not exactly sure if our items were ruined or thrown out because we can’t contact them.

In order to have a legal and factual basis to sue a storage company that had possession of your items for damages is to establish that the items were damaged while in the custody, possession or control of the storage company, that its representatives were negligent and you establish the fair market value of the damaged items at the time of the incident.
From what you have written you need to first establish that your property was actually damaged.
