In what context? Getting second and third opinions on an ailment or illness? Or are you doing what some do by going to multiple doctors in a short time period to obtain prescriptions for controlled substances? That latter is illegal. The former is not. States have enacted laws that deal with disclosure to a doctor that you have had the same medication prescribed by a different doctor within the last 30 days. This is for a controlled substance that many people will attempt to sell to others. The basis for the criminal charge in fraud.
