Can you be punished for not signing a traffic citation?
I was informend by an officer that I had to sign a citation that contain false information and to fail to sign would lead to a charge of 2nd degree misdemenor. However if I sign I would be admitting to the false information. How can they punish me for not signing if I think it’s wrong?

Based upon what you have written you could sign the ticket or citation that you are writing about "under protest" since it contains false information. Potentially under the laws of your state you could be punished for not signing the traffic citation issued to you.
