Can you be deported after you lived in a country for 20 years with a green card but was arrested twice?
My boyfriend and I were coming back from New Link Destination
ronto. Since he’s not A US citizen
but has a green card, he was stopped at customs due to two prior arrests 4-5
years ago. The customs agent said that he can be deported because of these
two offenses, but when he went to apply for citizenship, the official stated that
he can’t be deported since he’s been in the country 20 years and has a green
card. So who is correct?

It really depends on what the arrests are for and what the outcome of those cases was. THere is no clear cut way of saying yes or no without knowing the nature of the crimes/offenses with which he was charged.
