My 14 year son took some liquor from home and took it to school. He’s being charge with minor in possession and larceny from a building?

Larceny is the trespassory taking and carrying away of the personal property of another with the intent to permanently deprive.
In other words, since your son took the liquor, which did not belong to him, and carried it away with the intent to permanently deprive you (the rightful owner) of it, he has committed larceny.
