Can my paycheck be withheld from me for filing a sexual harassment claim?
I am a promotional model. was working for a company, that was hired by a brewing company. The brewing company’s rep sexually harassed me the night I was doing the promo and I am now taking the proper steps to file the claim. The company is doing everything right and legally about the investigation but the company that hired me to do this event is not. She is threatening me with counter suits, stating I’m a liar, and such, but worst of all she is now withholding my paycheck from the for said event until the investigation is over. Is this legal?

No one should be subject to retaliation by their employer for asserting their rights, and her actions, including the threats to sue you and withholding your paycheck, most likely violate several state and federal labor laws. You should consult a local attorney immediately, as well as file a complaint with the Department of Labor and Employment.
