As unfair as it may seem, your write-up is legal. The fact is that an employer can set the terms and conditions of the workplace much as it deems fit. Consequently, it can discipline you for such a situation as you have described. You, in turn, ycan choose to continue to work for this employer or not. This is what is known as "employment at will".
Unless your treatment violated the terms of an employment contract, union agreement or company policy, or was the result of legally actionable discrimination, your employer violated no laws here.
