Can my employer fire me if got into an altercation with a co-worker?

Basically, I heard a phone call between Rita and Leslie. I had the altercation with Rita. Basically in this phone call I heard Leslie talking a lot of smack about me and other co-workers even my supervisors and I got to the point where I hold her to the side and I told her what was wrong with her if she had an issue to me with. Where resolve anything but Rita was just adding more things. Read it and I went in a few is social media Instagram and we got argument which led to the incident at my daughter’s daycare. I went up to her and told her like what was her problem but why was she talking so much BS and basically what happened she was questioning me why I had told my supervisor and why was I bringing people in the situation the thing led to her put her hands on me and I just got her and hit her on her face.

Most employment relationships are "at will" which means that a company can set the conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit (absent some form of actionable discrimination). Accordingly, an employee can be fired for any reason or no reason at all, with or without notice. So unless your discharge violated the terms of an employment contract or union agreement, you have no claim here.
