Can I send a text message to someone that owes my company money asking them to pay?

We have several clients that I know personally and I am in charge of collections. Can I send them a text message reminding them about their bill?

So long as you are authorized by your employer to send the text message demanding payment of money owed, you are entitled to so as instructed. Make sure you get an e mail from your supervisor authorizing the text messages. Also, convert the text messages to the person who owes money into an e mail, print out and place in the client's file for future reference.
