Can I get a workinternship on an A2 visa?

I am 25-years-old, living in the US with an A2 visa as a dependent. I am a full-time college studentand I really want to get an internship. I do have a SSN but our work permits expire by the time we reach the age of 24. Would getting an internship be a violation of my status? If yes, does it make a difference if such an internship is unpaid? Would I be allowed to participate in paid research programs that are elective parts of my degree program? Would I be allowed to become a TA in my college?

You would have to change status to a different type of visa status in order to be eligible for employment.  Depending on your background in education and/or work experience, you may qualify for H-1B visa.  In order to assess your possible eligibility, you would have to provide additional information about your specific situation.
