Can I file suit if a landscaper dump grass clipping on my property?
My neighbor was telling me that a landscaper had dumped another neighbor’s grass clippings on his property. I told him that he should be able to file suit. He was not home when this happened but two other neighbors witnessed this incident.

What are your actual damages here? And raking and bagging uo the clippings don't qualify if you did it, only if you hired someone else to clean up. And frankly, the cost of filing in small claims court would probably cost more than that. So you'll need to decide if this "case" is worth pursuing.

You can only sue for actual losses, costs, or damages--and not for you own time, raking or bagging clippings. If the neighbor had, say, $50 to a landscapper or local teen for a clean-up due to this, that's all the neighbor could sue for--which is hardly worth it.
