Can I be sued personally if someone is injured on land that is owned by my LLC?
This land is going to be taken over by the city in a year for taxes (I am intentionally letting it go). I’m trying to figure out if I should pay my general liability coverage until the land is formally assumed by the city?

As the owner of an LLC, you are not liable for the debts or other obligations of the LLC, unless you personally acted in such way as to cause another injury; then you're being sued for your personal contribution to the injury, not as owner of the LLC. Moreover, a property owner generally is not liable for injuries on his/her property unless he or she was aware of a dangerous condition and failed to remedy it after an opportunity to do so. While it's always possible to postulate unusual circumstances which could result in liability despite general rules protecting someone from it, in the scenario you describe, you would have a very high degree of protection from personal liability.
