Can I be fired for being late to an unscheduled work assignment?
I clean the floors on weekend mornings at the restaurant where I worked so that I could help them and gain a few hours of pay. I gave my employer notice that I may be late the next day to work the assumed task before my shift started. When I arrived I was fired. Is this legal?
