Can employers hand out checks to employees at different times throughout the day?
our employer makes us wait til the end of the day to get checks but their son
always gets paid at the start of the day and gets to leave to cash it in but we
arent allowed to. is this legal?

In OR, while an employer must pay employees at least once every 35 days on regular paydays as designated by the employer, there is no law regarding at what point in the day a paycheck must be handed out. The fact that some workers are paid before others does not give rise to a legal claim unless doing so violates the terms of an empolyment contract or union agreement. A business can set the conditions of the workplace much as it sees fit. Not all employees need be treated thae same or even fairly absent some form of legally actionable discrimination.
