An active warrant will show up in an employment background check. And you had better believe that for security concerns, an airport employer does one of the most extensive background checks imaginable. This is true no matter what state you now live in and when the warrant was issued. States share criminalinformation with one another and can use the same data bases for federal matters; further warrants don't expire.
Take care of this ASAP. If you are stopped by the police for anything, even jay-walking, you will be taken into custody. What you need to do is to hire an attoreny in the area where the warrant was issued. They can best advise as to take care of this matter. One thing is for sure, this will follow you until you do.
